Start with clear, printed music using treble and bass clefs. Short piano scores with simple layouts are a good starting point. Blurry scans, handwriting, tablature, unusual clefs, and complex scores may not convert reliably.
Recognition can make mistakes in pitch, rhythm, voices, and repeats. Listen to the result and compare it with your score. Our checks can flag some structural problems, but cannot catch every wrong note.
Yes. Upload up to 10 pages in one PDF, with a maximum file size of 10 MB. The pages are processed in order and combined into one MIDI and one MusicXML file. Keep the same instruments and layout across the pages.
A one-time purchase adds 10 pages of credit to your account. A 3-page PDF uses 3 pages. There is no subscription, and purchased credits do not expire. Your pages are returned if processing fails or our checks flag a problem.
Technical failures and problems flagged by our structural checks automatically return the pages used. This restores page credits rather than refunding the payment. Customer support reviews cash refund requests manually. Email support@pdftomidi.online with your account email and payment reference.
Your uploads and results are private to your account. Downloads remain available for 24 hours, after which the conversion worker removes the files. Download your MIDI and MusicXML before they expire.
